Exploring glial biology, microglial dynamics, and the molecular mechanisms of neuroinflammation at Trinity College Dublin.

The mind behind the microscope

I'm a PhD student in Colm Cunningham's Lab at Trinity College Dublin, where I investigate the mechanisms underlying delirium — a debilitating acute neurological syndrome associated with systemic illness — through the lens of neuroimmunology and glial biology.

Before joining TCD, I was a Junior Research Fellow in Hiyaa Ghosh's Lab at NCBS Bangalore, where I worked on microglial dynamics and fate in injury response using single-cell transcriptomics and advanced imaging techniques.

Beyond the bench, I'm passionate about coding, automation, and bringing AI-driven approaches to biological research.

Completed

Explored microglial fate and phenotypic plasticity following CNS injury using single-cell RNA sequencing and advanced imaging modalities. Contributed to understanding how microglia transition between homeostatic and reactive states and the transcriptional programs governing these transitions.

Microglial Dynamics — Live

Microglia are the brain's resident immune cells and key players in delirium. Move your cursor across the canvas to trigger their surveillance response — processes extend toward signals of distress. Click anywhere to release an inflammatory signal and watch nearby cells activate, mimicking the neuroimmune cascade that drives acute cognitive dysfunction.
